Hello. My name is Barbara Gordon, and I think there's been some sort of mistake.

[Her voice, too, is a gentle one, though edged with confusion.]

I have no idea why I'm here. I'm nothing but a novelist, an activist – I'm pretty sure my worst crime is a few boring lectures.

[She runs a hand through her hair, lets the fingers tremble just slightly.]

I really would like to go home. The Waynes – my family will be worried.

Sure I'm allowed in here? [Her voice is dry as dust.]

Guess that's up to me, huh? [She's already drawing out a nice frosty mug, though.]

[wryly] Apparently.

[Her voice is wry as she strides to a seat.] Surprise me. God knows I could use a good one.

Guess waking up in a prison's not all it's cracked up to be. [Romulan ale cut with coke, mixed with a spritz of lemon and served with ice cream - all in a towering pewter mug; it can make a slayer woozy on her feet for a few minutes. Don't ask what it can do to a normal human who drinks it too quickly.]

[Barbara scrutinises the glass for a moment, before shrugging and taking a sip.]

Drunk enough to forget. [Her voice is frank and harsh. It's not something she normally does, but what does it matter? She's a dead prisoner.]

After I experience the hangover, probably not. [Bruce would fix her up a hangover cure in - she winces, and takes another sip.]
